The Mountain Anthems Chorus hails from Allegheny Mountains in Somerset County, Pennsylvania and Garrnet county Maryland, nestled at an altitude of over 3,000 feet. The chorus members come basically from one church, The Mountian View Mennonite Church, Saisbury, PA. In the mid 1950's The Mountian View Youth Group asked Menno Beachy to teach them basic rudiments in music, and shaped notes. They have never looked back.
