Jeffrey S Peachey, owner of a New York City-based studio for book conservation, spoke about the common structural points in failure of conserving books from late 15th and early 16th Bibles at the L. Tom Perry Special Collections. It is a nightmare for conservators to see a book such as a Victorian Bible with brutal papers and taped all over, Peachey said.
