Raydonna and Melvin Beachy

A picture is worth a thousand words. Mel & Raydonna moved to Alaska from Oregon after they retired and found that fishing can be very rewarding in that part of the world. Mel's Halibut weighed 213 pounds, Raydonna's Halibut was smaller as the picture shows. Alaska and Texas have one thing in common, everything seems to be bigger there. Thanks for sharing your big fish pictures.

Menno Simons 1496-1561

Menno Simons left the Roman Catholic church because of their transubstantiation doctrine. He became the Anabaptist leader, his followers were called Mennonites. The Anabaptist movement began in Zurich Switzerland, on January 21, 1525, when a group of belivers baptized adults who made a voluntary confession of faith. The word "ANABAPTIST" means "to rebaptize." The Anabapist believed the church had been corrupted by state control, which demanded that all citizens be baptized as infants. The Anabaptist became the first church in more than a 1,000 years to call for the separation of church and state. They were violently persecuted by Catholic and Protestant authorities who considered their stand as both heresy and treason. Many Anabaptist fled to America, Peter (Bitchie) Beachy also an Anabaptist came to America in 1767. The Beachys can be thankful that Peter along with his wife and three sons were able to come to America, otherwise we wouldn't be here. THANKS PETER!
