Stacey Beachy Director

2011 World AG Expo. Tulare CA
The world's largest farm equipment show will feature the latest in agriculture technology, workshops — and a country music concert. The concert is a fundraiser for several organizations that include California agriculture as part of their core mission, said Stacey Beachy, director of corporate partnerships for the International Agri-Center. "The goal of the event is to further the message of California agriculture and its multi-billion dollar contribution to the state's economy," Beachy said. "Family- owned farms and ranches ... are economic engines for most small to medium sized communities. By supporting our farmers and ranchers we keep thousands of other support jobs going strong." Allen & Lela Beachy A Gift of Cheer

Allen Beachy and his wife, Lela, of Lincoln DE, are among the longtime repeat helpers, having done this for about 16 or 17 years. Their family has a big get-together at Thanksgiving, and so the Beachys have Christmas to themselves. So they share it with others. “Some people are just so glad to see you,” said Allen Beachy, 74. “It’s in the spirit of Christmas, really.” Elizabeth Walls, at left, helps volunteers Melvin and Carolyn Wissinger, of Lewes, load up with gifts and meals for delivery to homebound senior citizens.
