There were questions looming in the minds of the members of the Souderton girls' swim team as they ventured through Pennsylvania's coal country en route to the PIAA Class AAA at Bucknell University in Lewisburg. Curzon was the anchor on Souderton's 200 medley relay-which included Ashley Kichline, LAUREN PEACHEY and Mariel Kush-that earned an eighth place medal and 22 points for the Indians.
"We decided to not go for the medley relay, we took our two best swimmers, Paige and Angela, and put Ashley Kichline and LAUREN PEACHEY in instead, and we swam a top eight," said Bauer. "That was as big accomplishment as winning that [200 freestyle] relay. These kids are all stepping up, they're performing." The Indians won five out of the 11 races and broke state records in four of them. "It was just out of control," said Bauer. Click for more By: Thomas D.
