Sgt. 1st Class Kevin Beachy Western Maryland

Beachy from DC gets his turkey.
Friday's turkey hunt by Wounded Warriors at Letterkenny Army Depot resulted in two kills, several first-time experiences and a much-needed change of pace for the soldiers who have been injured while serving in the U.S. military, according to Nora Cummings, public affairs officer for Letterkenny. The soldiers were assisted by Sgt. 1st Class Dan Sims of Kentucky and Sgt. 1st Class KEVIN BEACHY, who is from western Maryland.
The hunt began at 4:30 a.m. Although early, the men were glad to be there, according to BEACHY, who shot one of the turkeys: "It's excellent therapy." "We appreciate being invited up here," said Beachy. "It's great to get away from the hospital and barracks. The scenery is really beautiful...and they have good cold beer in Shippensburg." BEACHY said that when they returned to D.C., he would invite all of the men to his apartment for deep fried turkey.
