Larry Miller Macon MS. Andrew and Lydia (Beachy) Miller's Grandson.

From Darrin Black's Face Book, (Thanks Darrin for sharing this story)
For black history I'd like to acknowledge a odd ball legendary family who has and still makes history today in the Noxubee community and I'm sure many other places Larry Miller and his wife Maxine miller. Anyone who knows or have known these two knows that they could care less about your color ,if you needed anything they would find a way to get it to you. For as long as I can remember since I was very small this weird white man has been a second father figure to many many black children in the noxubee area and other areas. Even to my parents . Larry Miller is the only white mixed man for as long as I can remember who wasn't afraid to ride through the town of macon,ms and other places with a green caravan filled with loud black kids lol and didn't care at all. Let's not forget how dangerous it was back then. He would invite us in his home feed every single one of us and wouldn't ask us for anything in return and often refuse to let you give anything. He was the only father some of the black kids have ever known. He would pick kids up from everywhere who had no other way of getting around and out of the streets and take them to camps and on trips and out to eat and he paid for every bit out of his pocket to my knowledge . He would have camp fires and barbecues and invite everyone who wanted to come , and every child that came around him learned how to pray, and how to say thank you if you didn't already know. Larry Miller taught black kids about starting bank accounts and how to write checks.he showed us how to have fun outside , got us around many different races and taught us to get along. He taught them how to respect every race and he made it clear very often that our black skin didn't mean a thing to him, God said love everyone and that exactly what he was going to do. I cannot list all of this things this weirdo has done but if you haven't had the pleasure of knowing larry miller you should look him up ,find him and get to know him because he is a walking legend and has many many stories to tell. Thank you larry miller I hope many races and everyone who has come in contact with you has caught whatever desease you have and I hope it spreads all over the world. We should make sure he gets the recognition he deserves because he's one amazing old man .
Note, Larry and Maxine Miller still live Macon MS.

Brandon Beachy signs a one-year deal with the Dodgers

Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reportsthat The Dodgers have struck a deal with righty Brandon Beachy for $1.5 million.
Beachy pitched in two games for the Dodgers last year after two years out of the big leagues thanks to two Tommy John surgeries. The games weren’t good — he went four innings in both games, allowing three and four runs, respectively — but that was more a matter of him completing his rehab and the Dodgers trying to see what they had in him. After those outings and a lackluster stint on a minor league rehab assignment, they likely still don’t know.
They do know, however, that Beachy posted a 3.23 ERA in 46 starts in the majors with 9.2 K/9 and 2.9 BB/9 before the elbow ligament went south on him. That’s worth a gamble at least, and these days $1.5 million is a very small gamble for a starting pitcher.

Lincoln Beachey Flying Under Honeymoon Bridge 1911

Lincoln Beachey's plane is a bit hard to make out, he seems to be right in the mist. He landed on the Canadian side of the river where he collected the $1,000.00 he earned for this stunt The bridge collapsed a few year later from ice that formed in Lake Erie upstream from Niagara Falls, when it broke up there was so much ice moving down stream it caused the bridge to collapse.
