The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center will commemorate its 10th anniversary with a public event celebrating science in St. Louis and the center's international culture. The event is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 28, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the center. There is no admission charge for the event. "In celebrating our 10th birthday, we are reaffirming our commitment to our mission -- to improve the human condition through plant science -- and to our region," said ROGER BEACHY, president of the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, in a statement. "We are delighted to open our facility to members of our community and celebrate our region as a world center for plant science."
