Towanda High School Principal Dennis Peachey

TOWANDA - Twenty-nine Towanda High School students were inducted this week into the National Honor Society. "We've come together to recognize and honor academic excellence," Principal Dennis Peachey said at the opening of the induction ceremony, which was held in the school's new auditorium and was witnessed by all of the school's students in grades 10, 11 and 12. "You should be very proud of yourselves," Peachey told the new members of the honor society. And to the students' parents who had attended the ceremony, Peachey said: "Understand that we are also proud of your efforts, which have made this day possible." Peachey also addressed the students who witnessed the ceremony, saying: "We hope you aspire to achieve academic excellence as well.
