Arthur Martin Beachy 1916 - 1993

Kathleen Beachy Memorial Library Calabasas Calif.


Open to the public on Feb. 25, the collection will include the Kathleen Beachy Memorial Library, which was previously located at Pierce College but was moved three years ago to its permanent Calabasas location.
“Kathleen Beachy, who used her influence and helped save the Leonis Adobe, left this collection for the Historical Society,” Mitchell said. The Beachy collection makes up a significant portion of the archives. However, there is also an abundance of other material, including newspapers such as the Agoura Valley News and Woodland Hills Reporter, long gone from circulation, that give vivid accounts of the people and local politics that were once the talk of the day.
